More 3D Animation Shots

All character animation was done by me. Our pink bird character is completely keyframed from blocked to splined animation. All CFX simulations (hair, clothing, fur movement) was done by another artist on our team. Our young human protagonist's body animation was motion captured by the MoCap actor on our team. With the captured data, I cleaned up messy data in Vicon Shogun Post, and made animation changes such as the facial animation and finger animation in Maya.

All character animation in this shot was done by me. Our young human protagonist's jump was made with MoCap. With the captured data, I cleaned up messy data in Vicon Shogun Post. We experienced trouble in this shot due to the distance of the rocks being modeled for cinematic view. We didn't realize but the rocks were a whopping 20 feet apart! Animation edits in Motion Builder were made for our young human character to make that jump from one rock to the other. Additionally, emotion-based animation changes such as the facial animation and finger animation in Maya. Our pink bird character is completely keyframed from blocked to splined animation. His head and body tail feathers are also keyframed. All CFX simulations (hair, clothing, fur movement) was done by another artist on our team.

All character animation in this shot was done by me. Everything in this shot is keyframed. All keys were blocked, then smoothed to splining. This shot focuses more on our young protagonist overcoming her fears and confidently walking to the fence gate. She has gusto in her step and confidence with her smile. All CFX simulations (hair, clothing, fur movement) was done by another artist on our team.

All character animation in this shot was done by me. Both characters in this shot are keyframed. All keys were blocked, then smoothed to splining. Our pink bird character's head and body tail feathers are also keyframed. This shot focuses more on our young protagonist being scared to jump. Her fluffy pink imaginary companion urges her to face her fears. A big challenge in this keyframed shot was primarily our pink bird character's legs. His main driving art direction was being rubber hose-like. Our director and art lead wanted this pink bird character to be has round and bendy as possible. All CFX simulations (hair, clothing, fur movement) was done by another artist on our team.

All character animation and prop animation (the paper airplanes and pinwheels) in this shot were done by me. Both characters in this shot are keyframed. All keys were blocked, then smoothed to splining. Our pink bird character's head and body tail feathers are also keyframed. This shot focuses more on our pink imaginary bird character hoisting our young protagonist in this imaginary land. This shot is meant to feel whimsical and magical. All CFX simulations (hair, clothing particularly hat movement, fur movement) was done by another artist on our team.
